Our History

The Puppy Water Entertainment Foundation (PWEF) is a California nonprofit organization established to educate, inspire, and empower communities through creative arts, media, and entertainment. The foundation was originally created to produce short films, public service announcements (PSAs), educational campaigns, commercials, and other forms of digital media designed to increase awareness of mental health, reduce stigma, and encourage individuals and families to seek support.

As the organization expanded its community outreach efforts, the Board of Directors recognized significant gaps in access to quality mental health services throughout California. In response, PWEF broadened its mission by developing partnerships with community-based mental health providers, including Conscious Puzzles Mental Health Services, to increase access to behavioral health care, education, prevention, and early intervention services.

Today, Puppy Water Entertainment Foundation serves as a bridge between underserved communities and behavioral health resources. The foundation connects individuals and families to appropriate services, coordinates community outreach initiatives, supports the deployment of qualified mental health professionals, and creates educational and workforce development opportunities for students pursuing careers in behavioral health and related fields.

Through collaborations with providers, educational institutions, volunteers, and community organizations, PWEF offers a wide range of free and low-cost community programs, wellness events, educational workshops, support services, and outreach activities. Many individuals first engage with Conscious Puzzles Mental Health Services for clinical care and are then connected with Puppy Water Entertainment Foundation to receive additional non-clinical supports, community resources, educational programming, and family assistance that complement their treatment.

By integrating media, education, workforce development, and community partnerships, Puppy Water Entertainment Foundation continues to fulfill its mission of improving mental health awareness, expanding access to supportive services, and strengthening the overall well-being of children, adults, and families throughout California.
